Initially I was going to DYI with rustoleum epoxy kit, but after reading all the horror stories about the expoxy peeling after a year, I decided to leave it to the professional. I contacted CCC on sunday night and John was able to come out and gave me a quote the next day. The crews came out to work on Wednesday and finish coating on Thursday. The garage floor looks so much better and cleaner after. Everyone from CCC was friendly and professional. I highly recommend them if you are thinking of getting your garage floor epoxy. I will update this review after 1 year to see how it is holding up.

Finally had the chance to get my epoxy garage floor done and the process was smooth and the results were great. The hazelnut brown color was perfect. I waited three days to walk on it then I waited eight days before I drove my cars back in the garage.

We had California Custom Coating installing epoxy for our 2 car garage floor a few months ago. The process to get an estimate and for installation was simple and quick. It took them a couple mornings to complete the floor, however, we had to wait for almost a week for the coatings to be cured before we could park our cars. The garage now looks very nice, and it’s easy to take care of.

I can’t believe I never made a review….John epoxied our garage 4 years ago and did a beautiful job! We recently had a few spots (oil from car and random other spots). I reached out to John, he was amazing!! I sent him pictures and I tried an at home fix. I still couldn’t get the spots out so he sent someone out (1 1/2hrs from his business)! I was planning to install epoxy floors in my garage. I am a do it yourself kind of guy and was going to do it myself. After spending a lot of time on forums and YouTube, I discovered that the majority of people that attempt this themselves regret it; mainly because their self installed floors peeled up within a year or so…after coming to the conclusion that I should hire someone professional (that has a warranty) I contacted several companies to get estimates for epoxy floors in my two car garage. California Custom Coatings provided a reasonable estimate and I contracted them to install the flooring. They made the whole process easy. From showing up to provide an estimate through finished product they were friendly and easy to work with. They communicated with me throughout the process and never left me wondering what was going on. They showed up when they said they would! They made the appropriate repairs to my slab prior to prepping it for installation of the epoxy, and then installed the epoxy. Just over a year later, I am still really pleased with my garage floor and have absolutely no regrets!!

John was wonderful to work with. He took my call and came over that day to give me an estimate. He was kind, patient and a pleasure to work with. He gave me a quote on the spot, which was very reasonable so I signed with him the same day. He walked me through the process of doing the epoxy coating in my garage. He made me feel instantly at ease. We scheduled a few weeks out due to my schedule. As the date approached, I needed to reschedule due to my travel schedule. Not a problem, we pushed it out without any hiccups. Patrick showed up on Tuesday and went to work. He was phenomenal! Friendly, patient with all of my questions (I was very intrigued with the process) and quick and efficient. He was done in a few hours and came back the next day to seal it off. Again, Patrick was awesome. I was concerned how the 2nd day would go as I had to go out of town earlier than expected but not to worry. Jonathan and the team was able to accommodate my schedule and complete the job quickly soon after I got the estimate. The first day Jonathan and Rustam sanded the concrete, and applied the black base and flakes. The flakes were laid evenly and well done. This takes extra attention because of the two size flakes I choose in the 1 inch & 1/4 inch carbon flakes. The following day Michael and Sterling finished the job by laying down the epoxy. They were super friendly, professional and easy to talk to. Super happy with how it turned out and would definitely recommend this team to anyone! Thanks again guys!

We are delighted by our garage’s transformation thanks to California Custom Coatings! They were easy to work with. They came for an initial consultation, were upfront with pricing. They give you a lifetime warranty on their work. We had them come a couple weeks later the epoxy placement. It took 2 appointments – one for the prep work and one for the refinement/top coat. Our epoxy guys that we would highly recommend are: Jeff and Patrick Note: you can’t park your car in the garage for 1 week after the epoxy.

My wife and I just love our garage floor since John and his team applied the epoxy treatment to our floor. It is so beautiful and now we just use soap and water to clean any stains. John the owner was very knowledgeable and quickly came out and gave us an estimate which we believe was a fair price. His installation team of Sterling, Mike and Felipe came out the next week and over two days had the job completed. The crew was very friendly and professional and cleaned up the area afterwards. This is the second garage we have used them to install with the first job at our former home in Rocklin over six years ago. That garage flooring was still looking like new after six year of wear and tear. The new owners thought we had the flooring epoxy within the last month instead if years ago. That was the main reason we had them do the garage flooring when we purchased our new home in Sun City Roseville.

Our garage had weathered the previous owner’s Range Rover which was probably in bad shape evidenced by the plentiful oil stains. His crew was able to completely hide all the imperfections. One of my main factors in choosing a business to do work with is customer service. I had called another company out to provide me with an estimate which they did and actually their cost was lower than California Custom Coatings however, when I read the reviews for this company I contacted Jack. Jack was so responsive and provided an estimate over the phone as well as answered all my questions (I ask a LOT of questions lol). The scheduling of the appointment was also great as I needed it done rather quickly for some deliveries I had coming for items in my garage. Jack was able to accommodate me and do my floors the following week. I had Noah I believe come out on day one and Austin and Jeff come out on day 2. All employees were great and knowledgeable about the work they were performing and had great attitudes. They did a fantastic job! I am so pleased with the results. I haven’t walked on it yet but the floor looks amazing. Not sure if I want to drive my car on it now. Oh and I might add, the warranty they provide was also a deciding factor as the other company did not provide one. If you’re looking for a great company who does awesome work you’ve found it!

I had a large project. It took me time to get my ducks in a row to get the floors done. Other things had to happen first. Johnathan kept in contact with me making sure that I could be on the schedule as soon as my project was available. Three days after I was done he had his guys out doing the floor. They did a beautiful job. Soon after the floor was completed there was a small problem. Johnathan came out and looked at it. The very next day they came out and fixed it. The floor is beautiful and you cannot tell where there was an issue. These guys do a good job and clearly stand behind their products. If I get another house in the area I’ll be calling them back.

Steele and Igor came over exactly on schedule, the first day was prepping and getting the top flake on. Just as promised they came back the second day to finish it! I was amazed how the got under my standing cabinets and made it look so so good!! I love it. When people say you can do it yourself… ummm it would never look like this!!!

It will be pricier than going with someone off fb marketplace. But that other someone is not going to offer a guarantee and Will not have this High quality of an outcome. This is not one or two layers of sprinkle of flakes. This is a thick, almost industrial like floor. Lots of compliments already and my family wanting to re do their garage after seeing ours. Do not hesitate; go with this company. I received several estimates from other companies and no one even came close to John’s worth ethic and timeliness. He responded quickly to my in-person estimate request and came out to the house that same day. Some companies do everything in their power to give you a virtual estimate. John always answered the phone and kept me updated on each day/time they were coming out. We have a fairly large garage we use as a gym and for parking cars. The garage was always an afterthought, even though we use it for so many different things. Now that the work is done, the garage has taken on a totally different use. It’s like a professional room for working out and for our cars. We don’t have many items stored in the garage, but what we do have inside, is extremely heavy. We had to move everything in and out, and it was totally worth it. Oh, and as far as estimates, John was much lower than other companies. John’s staff also let my 6 year old help with spreading out the flakes which totally made her feel special and a cool memory for us. If you are on the fence, just do it, and go with this company. You won’t be disappointed

I called the company and Jon Celone (the owner) was extremely responsive, giving me a rough quote over the phone and texted me information about the colors and coatings shortly thereafter. When he arrived for the estimate, he explained the whole process to me and gave me a very competitive quote. He noticed signs of efflorescence (water seeping through the foundation) on our garage floor and recommended an application of a vapor barrier to seal and protect it. The workers came on time, were friendly and professional and spent an entire day finishing the floor to smooth it, patch holes and apply the vapor barrier and chips. It took an extra day to dry because of the cold weather, but on the third day they applied the epoxy-composite coating. It looks great and we now have added usable space to our house (the previous floor coating was chipping and would leave a mess inside and outside our house). I called Jonathan afterwards and he answered my questions. I am extremely happy with or new garage floor.

WOW, WOW, WOW!!!! That is exactly what I said when I got home from work and saw my garage floor finished……WOW, WOW, WOW!!!! I have been wanting to epoxy my garage floor for the last 10 years but I had two major problems. 1) I couldn’t find a company that I was happy with to do the work (I had another house done by a different company and I was disappointed with those results so I was hesitant). 2) I didn’t want to empty the garage. I was going to put an epoxy floor for our garage. Reached out to three places in town. They came the next day to give me a bid. John was professional and friendly. I accepted their bid and they started the work the very next day. Its a two day process. So from me calling them to them being done was three days. This was great because I don’t like to park outside. Kyle, Joie and Matt did a great job on the install. We picked Midnight flake mix. Flakes to refusal with a clear coating.

PERFECT! The previous owner had built a structure in the garage and put bolts in the floor which left some holes about 4-inches across. A pretty major mess. However, my Team of Kyle and Igor did an amazing Job of filling the holes to absolute smoothness and the Epoxy floor they installed is perfect–doesn’t get any better than a 100% recommendation from me.

Absolute AMAZING difference in look and protection of my driveway and back patio. Many of my neighbors asked if I put in a brand new driveway, but nope, it is the same 20 yr old concrete driveway that is now sealed and protected and looks brand new! Removed all the old surface that was damaged, then using multiple layers of cement, fiberglass and more cement and fiberglass before the final coats of color and texture. The old deck had weathered, buckled, cracked and began leaking down through the structure. It went easily and without much mess (they cleaned up all the mess). All Bay Area Dustless Blasting & Coating also touched up a spot on our stucco free of charge and repainted it. Our deck looks extremely nice and worthy of our patio furniture and use. Fantastic! I’m so pleased with how my garage floor turned out. I did a lot of research on garage floor options, and in the beginning was prepared to tackle it as a DIY. Great guy, great job, reasonable price. Tried/ called 5 other coatings companies only 1 of them returned my call and he was twice what I was told to expect to pay. I even talk to a guy that was doing one down the street and he said he would come by after he finished. He never showed up.Don’t really remember how I got in touch with John but when i spoke to him he was very pleasant and agreed to give me a rough bid over the phone, which was what I expected to pay. He came out, was on time , his confirmed bid was real close to what he said over the phone. Agreed to a start date and time 10 days away. His crew ( Austin & sorry don’t remember other names) showed up at correct time and job was completed on time and looks great. I will recommend him to anyone. Business service delivered the way it should be. First love the garage floor they did for us. Second, there was a minor issue I wanted them to have a look at and take care of. They came out the next business day and repaired a minor issue that was part of the normal finishing process. That’s all you can ask for. They answer the phone and never leave you hanging. John replied within minutes to my request for a quote. In fact, of 5 contractors I reached out to, he was only one of two to return my call, period. After dealing with a fair share of renovations to our house, it was so refreshing to work with an individual/company that is so responsive, fair, and professional. The project itself was a restoration and coating for our garage floor, which is in all likelihood as old as the house (approx. 70 years). Anthony took on the task of grinding that old slab, applying a new epoxy coating, and mending some pretty sizable cracks. It looks absolutely awesome. And he worked so clean. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the clean work and attention to detail. We’re in the process of working out additional jobs we were so happy with the first. California Custom Coatings finished my garage floor with Lanai Gray Polyaspartic Hybrid Polymer. The result was so beautiful I hated to fill the garage with all my stuff. Everybody who saw the floor loved it. One neighbor commented it looked better than his granite counter top. In addition to the appearance I appreciate how easy it is to clean. I live in a new development where construction is ongoing. Dust is a constant companion. That was a major factor in my decision to go with epoxy. John’s crew did a great job. They were courteous, professional, and neat. The dust collection system they used was very effective. The price was very competitive. Emptying my garage and then putting everything back was a major chore but I am glad I did it. Now I will have a great looking and easy to care for floor for many years.

Where to begin…John and his concrete guy Jim do amazing work. We wanted to re-do Our driveway and walkway to our house had some cheap sealant on it from when we moved in, and it was not going to last. We called John and he sent his pro Jim to the rescue. He did an amazing job stripping and restoring our concrete…as if it is brand new! The color scheme is perfect, it is blended seamlessly, and his attention to detail with our new landscaping is above reproach. He sealed the finished product and it will now be “bulletproof” and last for years of enjoyment. I would recommend these guys any day of the week! He had all the equipment necessary to do the job and got right down to it. Six and a half hours later, I had a new garage floor! When he finished, he cleaned everything up. I just had Jim Olinger from California Custom Coatings refinish approximately 3300 square feet of concrete patios that were originally finished with a concrete overlay process that was failing. Jim’s crew consisted of his wife, Danielle, Alex and James. This was a large project and was completed on time and on budget. The quality of the work performed was exceptional. Jim’s knowlege of the properties of concrete is amazing. He is familiar with everything that is available and what works the best. His crew was very professional. I am a retired builder of high-end custom homes. If I was still in business, California Custom Coatings would be doing all my Specialty concrete work. If you have ever tried to do your garage floors with that epoxy kit from Home Depot and turned out as a failed Pinterest attempt, then you have found yourself the perfect company to come out and do your floors. Been there done that with those kits, so this time around the decision to have someone do it was a must. We have a 3 car garage with a 2 car detached and decided on the carbon flake. It’s glossy, super flakey, and has been really nice at hiding all the dirt despite it being a darker color. While it is a pricey upgrade it is great at keeping a lot of the dirt from being dragged inside the house vs the unfinished concrete that keeps that chalky like dust stuck to the surface as seen in my pictures. John the owner sent out Craig and his crew to do the floors and they were fantastic and super friendly. We needed the floors done right in the middle of the summer and the day they came out it was 113 degrees outside. They powered through it with no complaints and only took two days to complete. Great crew, cool looking floors, and competitive pricing, would definitely hire them again.

We called for a rush job on having the epoxy coating done on our new used home we were moving into and needed done within just a few days before we had the quick turn around renovation done inside where they would need to use the garage to lay out materials etc and we have not had 2 weeks to have all of this done along with moving in. We recently bought a house in Sacramento and its garage floor was stained and looked horrible. Since the garage was empty before we moved in, I decided that was the best time to paint the garage floor. To save money I decided to do the work myself. It can’t be that difficult! So I got a quote from California Custom Coatings. John showed up the next morning with samples to choose from and gave me a quote for the work. Amazingly, he was able to get his guys out the following day to get the work done in time to dry and be ready for our move. The decision to go with California Custom Coatings was a no-brainer. John had the tools, equipment, supplies and (most importantly) experience to do the job right. In the end it may have cost me a little more than doing it myself, but it saved me 15-20 hours of hard work and I know the final results are far better than if I’d done it myself! (I watched them do the work and I know there were at least three things I would have done wrong and ruined the project.) I definitely recommend John and California Custom Coatings!

John and his crew did a great job on my small enclosed patio room. He discussed recommended coating options that fit my criteria. His quote was very competitive and the work was done in a timely manner. Other companies quoted a long wait because mine was a small job. John started the job right away. The job was finished quickly. John even came out at 7 PM to ensure the job was finished as promised. Best of all the room looks great and the coating is perfect!

John’s team was on time, professional, and didn’t waste any time. Their work reflects their professionalism and I would definitely recommend and use them again. They were flexible when it came to coordinating with other contractors who were to do other parts of my garage. I was super impressed with all the tools they used and I was immensely happy I didn’t go with one of the kits from a hardware store. The most important tool is their diamond cutting tool which prepares the concrete for the epoxy by making micro cuts into the concrete so it will stick better. I opted to get the solution that cured enough so you can drive on it in 24 hours and I highly recommend paying extra for it.

The entire process, from quote to completion of job, was simple, thorough and professional. John was proactive in every aspect of communication including when he was on his way, what the timelines would be once work started and when we could place our items back in the garage. Both John and Josh epitomized professionalism and were extremely detailed as they prepped, cleaned and finished the floor. We are extremely pleased with the finished product and highly recommend them.

John and his crew coated our new-old 4 car garage yesterday and it looks amazing! We added a 2 car garage onto an existing 1960 garage and the old floor was a mess. John’s gigantic concrete grinding machine and his expertise prepped the floor and did his magic. He got here when he was supposed to and was in and out in one day…..as promised. Great job by the CCC team! They came in and completely re-did my disgusting garage floor in one day! Other companies wanted to charge me for an entire 20×20 space, CCC noticed that my chimney wall extended into the garage, making the space smaller and charged me accordingly. Highly recommend!

John Celone and his crew are very honest and professional. John was quick on returning calls including weekends and was flexible with his schedule. When he was delayed he called prior to the arrival time to update that he was going to be 10min late. It did take him a second try to finish the epoxy garage floor. During the first attempt, his crew left black marks. But when I called to complain he stopped me, explained what happened and that he would return and completely redo the 3 car garage at no cost. Because of a scheduling conflict and tight construction timeline, he upgraded the floor to ensure it didn’t delay me any further, still at no extra cost. Everyone that has seen the floor has commented on how good it looks. A passing neighbor stopped by and asked for details because he liked it so much. Plenty of color choices and paint chips available plus long term warranties included. I would hire him again and recommend to friends.

This is the first time ever that I can honestly say that I am totally impressed by a contractor. John Celone returned my call within an hour upon first contact. When I told him that we were tight on time, he squeezed us into the schedule and started the job within 2 days. He and his workers were quite prompt every day and very proficient in their jobs, and all speak English as a first language. The only setback was that the expansion joint filler shrank more than expected and once the floor was completed, the expansion cracks were still quite visible (a newer employee did this portion). John totally understood and told me that they would re-do the floor! There was no need for extensive complaining or negotiating to get them to do this – he came right out and offered it!!! Wow! He definitely has integrity! They re-did the floor and it is perfect!! I must add that even with the re-do, they came to the house 6 days in a row to get the job done, with absolutely no scheduling delays. Their goal was to get the job done in an expedient manner and done right. I plan on having him do our garage floor in a month or so, and also will have him stain and seal our concrete patio and walkways in the fall. This is a first for me – impressed enough to use a contractor twice!! I cannot say enough good things about this company – again, a first for me regarding a contractor!
