How do you prepare the floor for your various coatings?
We start by grinding or shotblasting the concrete surface. This opens the pores in the material and makes it suitable for adhesion with our coatings. It also removes stains and blemishes in the concrete.
We have a coating already on our floor can you remove it?
Yes, we can remove the coating and make the concrete look nearly new again. Due to the need for extra grinding, there may be an additional charge for this service.
Do you fill the cracks and divots in the floor?
Yes, this is a complementary service, in most cases. Extensive cracks or divots may require a small charge.
Can and will you remove my stuff from the garage?
We don’t mind helping clients remove heavy items from the garage, such as washers, dryers, and refrigerators. We do ask the homeowner to remove all small, light items.
How long will the installation process take?
The length of the installation depends on the type of flooring you choose. Certain weather conditions may slightly extend the installation process. In most cases, a premium or hybrid polymer install takes one day and a UV resistant urethane installation requires two days.
How long do I have to stay off my floor before I can use it?
With the premium installation and UV resistant urethane you can walk on it in 24 hours, place heavy items back on it in 48 hours and drive on it in 7 days. The hybrid polymer is fully accessible and can be driven on in 24 hours.
What is the best way to clean my new floor?
The best way to clean your floor is with diluted Simple Green or Orange Glo, usually one cup to one gallon of water. Not only will this recommendation get it the cleanest, but it is also the safest method.
What type of longevity can I expect with my new floor?
The longevity of any flooring will depend on many factors, such as the amount of usage, the location (whether exterior or interior), and the amount of exposure to harsh chemicals. Conservatively, you can expect ten to twelve years with the premium coating, fifteen to eighteen years with the UV resistant and at least twenty years with the hybrid polymer.
What are the differences and characteristics between the different levels of flooring?
The premium epoxy offers some great features: good durability and resistance to many chemicals, a more textured finish and a wide array of color choices. UV resistant urethane offers much higher durability, the best scratch resistance, more elasticity, great chemical resistance, a high gloss finish, and superiority for exterior applications. The hybrid polymer is our highest level of coating, offering the best durability, highest gloss retention, broadest range of chemical resistance and the fastest drying time.
